ATTENTION MORTGAGE LENDERS
The proposed Federal Tax Reform Bill, if left as it is drafted, eliminates tax-exempt private activity bonds including Mortgage Credit Certificates issued after December 31, 2017. This will eliminate the ability for ADFA to issue Mortgage Credit Certificates on loans after December 31, 2017.
As a result of this, lenders using the ADFA MCC Program are advised to reserve any qualified MCC applications no later than Friday, December 8, 2017.
All loans associated with an MCC should be closed and submitted to ADFA by Wednesday, December 20th, cleared of deficiencies and certificate issued by ADFA by December 29, 2017. Any MCC reservations, regardless of reservation or closing date, not able to be issued by December 29th, 2017 will be cancelled and invalid.
