2018 Arkansas National Housing Trust Fund Notice of Funding Availability

The Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA) is now accepting applications for funding from the Arkansas National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) program for the construction of new rental housing to benefit extremely low-income households, including homeless individuals and families.  In Arkansas, priority for these funds is being given to veterans and veterans and their families.

In April of 2018, ADFA received an award of $6 million from the National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF), a federal program funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

“Affordable housing is an important building block for a strong and thriving community,” said ADFA President Aaron Burkes. “Through the National Housing Trust Fund Program, we are increasing the availability of safe, affordable, and sustainable housing for extremely low-income veterans in Arkansas so they have the opportunity to build a healthy, productive life in our state.”

The organization or agency that submits an application to ADFA for funds to carry out a NHTF project must be an eligible recipient.  Eligible recipients include organizations, agencies, or other entities (including public housing agencies, for-profit entities or nonprofit entities).

Applications for funding will be accepted at nofa@adfa.arkansas.gov until the deadline of October 15, 2018, at 11:59:59 p.m. CST,   Any application received after the deadline will be deemed ineligible and will not be considered for funding.
