About Us

The Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA) is dedicated to promoting economic growth and community development across the state. Since 1985, ADFA has provided affordable financing options for business expansion, affordable housing, infrastructure, public health initiatives, and higher education funding.

Key Initiatives

1. Affordable Housing: ADFA provides funding for the development and rehabilitation of affordable housing in Arkansas.

2. Business and Economic Development: The authority supports various business and economic development projects by providing financial resources.

3. Capital Improvements for State Agencies: Help fund capital improvement projects for state agencies, contributing to the overall growth and development of the state.

4, Make higher education more accessible to students through affordable student loan programs and by providing college planning services

Mission

To promote economic growth in the state of Arkansas by providing and supporting financing for affordable housing, agricultural business enterprises, industrial and economic development, capital improvement for state agencies and local governments, higher education funding and related programs, and by promoting better economic policy.

Our Vision

Raise the standard of living of Arkansans through direct in-kind assistance, entrepreneurial job creation, improved economic policy, enhanced access to higher education funding, and responsible public finance. Responding to the changing needs of Arkansas' growing and increasingly diverse population and business community since 1985.

Board of Directors

Our board of directors governs the affairs of ADFA. It is composed of the State Treasurer, Director of the department of Finance and Administration, and eleven public members appointed by the Governor.
