NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
FOR CDBG-DR 2025 ACTION PLAN
DR-4698 AND DR-4788
OF ARKANSAS
The State of Arkansas received $59,048,000 in grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for two Presidentially Declared Disasters in Arkansas known as (DR-4698), which consisted of severe storms and tornadoes in 2023; and (DR-4788) for severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes, and flooding in 2024. These funds shall be applied to the CDBG-DR 2025 Action Plan to be administered by the Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA).
A virtual Public Hearing will be held, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon via Zoom, to hear comments considering the CDBG-DR 2025 Action Plan (Plan). To view a draft of the Plan, please visit ADFA’s Disaster Recovery webpage at: https://adfa.arkansas.gov/programs/community-development-block-grant-disaster-recovery-cdbg-dr/.
Additionally, a public comment period will extend for 30 days beginning at 8:00 am, Wednesday, September 10, 2025, and will end at 4:30 pm, Friday, October 10, 2025. Oral comments may be taken during the Public Hearing, October 1, 2025, at 12:00 noon. The Plan may be provided in alternative formats (i.e., Braille, large print, audio tape) for the disabled, or in Spanish, upon written request via email to:
Lori.Brockway@Arkansas.gov. Likewise, the Public Hearing will have closed captions for the hearing impaired and non-English speakers, who may request translation through the Zoom application.
